Blendergizer Batteries

Have you seen this type of thing before? People making renderings of products, but changing the brand?

Well, here’s one from me: ‘Blendergizer (yes, like energizer) batteries’

(Click to enlarge)

This was rendered, as you may guess, in Cycles. Another thing I would like to talk about is iterating your renders.

So, you may have made a render before. Noticed several problems with it, said ‘Good enough!’ and moved on. How strongly can I reccomend not doing this?! 🙂 Does you render look gross? That doesn’t necessarily mean you should start a new project! Do you want to see what this render looked like early on?

See?

Can you imagine what would have happened if I said ‘eww’ and quit Blender?

So, my advice to you would be to stick with your render until you get something that you think looks great, and not just ‘good enough’ 😛 Don’t underestimate the power of compositing either…

By the way, I have decided to make the .blend file free to those who want it! here you go!

So what do you think about the render and the file? I’d love to know! Feel free to comment in the box below!

{Edit:}

Speaking of iterations 😛

I revised how the top of the batteries look. Here’s the older image, the newer one can be found above:

  1. Haha, nice warning on the batteries!

    The only thing that bugs me with your newer render is that it looks like there is some mist. Maybe there too much light? Well, I’m not a professional. 😛

    BTW, really nice work you did with those batteries and all the other creations in the earlier posts. 😀

Comments and feedback are appreciated :)
